INFORMATION ON SPIKE GRADUATION CEREMONY

1. Date of Graduation Ceremony
The SPIKE graduation Ceremony, batch SPIKE@PERAK & SPIKE@K.L, will be held at the Tun Rahah Grand Hall, Level 1, Menara Yayasan Tun Razak, No 200 Jalan Bukit Bintang, 55100 Kuala Lumpur on:
Date : 30th September2010
Time : 1.00PM – 4.30PM
Days : Thursday

2. Attendance
a. As specified in SPIKE Graduation Event, SPIKER’s will normally be conferred only to graduates who attend the Graduation.
b. Graduates must obey the attendance instructions that have been prescribed according to each session of the Graduation.
c. Graduates are not allowed to defer the Graduation Ceremony or nominate others to attend the Graduation Ceremony on their behalf.
3. Recommended Attire for The Graduation Ceremony
3.1 SPIKER graduates attending the ceremony are to be suitably attired. The suggested attire are as follows (refer to Diagram 1) :-
Ladies
- long dresses which cover until the ankles/maxi skirts, long sleeved shirts/blouses.
- Colour (no restrictions)
- Sport shoes/slippers/open back shoes are not allowed.
- Short skirts or trousers are not allowed.
Men
- Business/ working attire, dark lounge suit, black or dark colour baju Melayu( complete with sampin and songkok) and dark shoes
- Jeans and shorts are not allowed.
- Sport shoes/slippers/sandals are not allowed.
- Hair styles should be short and neat.
3.2 The Graduation Ceremony is an official event. Graduates are reminded to abide to the dress code as stated above. Graduates not adhering to the dress code will be not allowed to attend the ceremony.
4. Briefing and Rehearsals
a. A Graduation Briefing and Rehearsal session will be held on the 30th September 2010 at 10.00 a.m. at the Tun Rahah Grand Hall, Level 1, Menara Yayasan Tun Razak. All graduates are required to attend this session to familiarise themselves with the events that have been planned for the actual Graduation ceremony.
b. Failure to attend the briefing and rehearsal session may affect the even flow result in the SPIKE Graduation Ceremony Session.
5. Parade of SPIKE Graduates on Graduation Day
a. All graduates for the morning session are advised to convene at the car park of the Menara Yayasan Tun Razak, by 10.30 a.m. The parade will commence at 11.00 a.m.
b. Rehearsal will start at 11.30 am until 12.30pm
c. Graduates are allow to rest and start changing their attire for the afternoon ceremony
d. Graduates must be at the Hall by 1.00pm
e. Arrival of VIP’s by 2.30pm
f. SPIKE Graduation event start by 2.40pm until 4.30pm
g. End ceremony by 4.30pm
h. SKALI Aidilfitri Ceremony start by 4.30pm to 6.30pm
Graduates who are late (before 12.00pm) will not be allowed in and be a part of the Graduation Ceremony.
During the ceremony, graduates are required to follow all the rules and instructions from the officers in charge.
Graduates are not allowed to leave the hall until the ceremony is over.
6. Conferral Arrangement
a. The designation of rows and arrangement for seating for graduates during the ceremony will be decided by the Committee/Secretariat/Officers in charge.
